TRUSTEES and fundraisers were entitled to make a drama out of their latest achievement - their 75th anniversary.
The stalwarts of Weymouth Drama Club held a gala dinner at Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy to mark the achievement.
It was a double celebration as the club has also recently completed the mortgage payments on its headquarters, The Warehouse Theatre, near Brewers Quay.
The club acquired the former brewery warehouse in 1992 as its permanent home.
The club is now in its 76th season and is currently rehearsing its annual family pantomime, Cinderella, to be held at Weymouth Pavilion, on January 24-26, 2008.
They will also be performing Allo, Allo at the same venue in May.
The club welcomes new members at any time and is really looking forward to the next 75 years, mortgage-free.
