With the Terras playing away today, Sat 25th, I set off from Wyke to visit an ailing friend on Portland.
With my battery assisted cycle playing up I chose to motor over (New Road up to Tophill is quite a challenge for a near 80 year old pushing a bike).
I popped into the new Budgens at Osprey Quay just off the (beach) road intending to pick up a gift of his favourite biscuits.
Pulling into the shop car park I spotted a vacant petrol pump bay at the recently opened service station.
With only three or four other vehicles filling up I turned and topped up my half empty tank before entering the store.
On watching the media coverage of long lines of vehicles elsewhere in the county, with hindsight, I regret not pushing my luck and buying a lottery ticket.
