I am ashamed to call the United Kingdom my home.
The fifth richest country in the world is currently doing close to zero to alleviate the intolerable humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.
Despite the prime minister’s promises and bold statements, the fact is that only 300 Ukrainians have been issued visas so far.
Every other European country is letting so far the total of two million refugees enter their countries visa-free.
To insist on visas and red tape obstacles from the desperate war refugees is immoral and shameful.
The British Government is literally preventing its own citizens from helping in the biggest humanitarian crises since WWII by keeping the desperate refugees overseas.
The prime minister needs to stop his cowardly behaviour, the British people are better than him, they want to help.
Let them help and join in the European outpouring of humanity against the evil that Putin is unleashing in Ukraine.
