TO CELEBRATE the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee a church will be hosting a weeklong flower festival.
The event will be held at St. Peter’s Church in Portesham with each arrangement having a special significance to the Queen.
The Queen’s racing colours are shared in an arrangement, various patronages are depicted and of course, it wouldn’t be complete without a mention of Her Majesty’s hats – the ‘magnificent’ crown was made by church member Julie Hodges.

A spokesperson for the church said: “All flower arrangements will be specifically designed with aspects of our Queen’s life, her colourful clothes, racing colours, and jewellery.”
