THE mum of 15-year-old Roxy Phillips says the outpouring of love and support from the community has given her strength following her daughter’s tragic death.

Roxy’s mother Kerri said the support had given her “the strength to get through the last week”.

Flowers have been displayed in Radipole Gardens and at Upwey train station in tribute to Roxy.

Roxy tragically passed away last Thursday on the railway tracks near Greenway Road, Weymouth.

Overwhelmed by the love shown by Roxy’s friends, Kerri said: “I am so touched and moved by these children, they have given me my strength and I just want to say ‘thank you.'

"These kids need a mention, they are 13, 14 or 15 years old and they have been around my house, looking after me, texting me every day, they have been amazing.

"There is a candle burning continuously for my daughter."

On Saturday, March 25, friends of Roxy gathered for a send-off at Radipole Gardens.

Balloons were let off into the sky and candles were lit as part of the gathering.

Friends of 15-year-old Roxy Phillips of Weymouth will gather at a youth club disco which will raise money in her memory.

Proceeds from the disco, to be held next month at the Top Club in Littlemoor, Weymouth, will go towards caring for animal lover Roxy's pets - including her beloved horse, Bradley.

She was a well-known animal lover, and members of the Top Club wanted to help in their own small way by contributing to the upkeep of her beloved pets.
