'AMAZING' performances were on show as a primary school dance festival was held at Freshwater Holiday Park.

Taking on the theme of 'Dance through the Decades', each school choreographed a dance to a chosen period of time.

Led by Sir John Colfox Academy dance leaders, each primary school performed to the others, before receiving feedback from the Colfox judges.

The annual year three and four event, put on by Bridport Pyramid Primary Schools, was the first to take place since lockdown and pupils 'really enjoyed' the opportunity to perform and meet other pupils.

"There were some amazing dances throughout the afternoon and some great costumes too," a spokesman for Bridport Pyramid Primary Schools said.

"However, after much deliberation the judges crowned Thorners as the overall winners with their dance from the 1950s.

"Special thanks to Freshwater for hosting the event."
