A care firm worker has won a ‘heroes award’ for her dedication to the company.

Kelly Nash from Weymouth has spent two-decades working for Portland-based Agincare and was this year’s recipient of the Will Mitchell Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Agincare Heroes Awards.

This award was created to pay tribute to a well-loved member of the Agincare family who sadly passed away at a young age last October.

On receiving the award, Kelly said: “It was a real honour to be the inaugural winner of the Will Mitchell Award! Never in a million years did I think I would be nominated, let alone win.

“I love my job and am always looking for my next challenge. I have worked at Agincare for more than half my life and am hoping that I will continue to grow in my career.

“I hope that Will would be proud that I received the award. I will do my upmost to honour his memory.”

During her time at the company, progressed from care worker to Business Development Manager as part of the Senior Management team.

The Agincare Heroes Awards were held at The Manor Hotel in Castle Combe and they recognise team members who consistently went above and beyond the call of duty, demonstrating unparalleled dedication and making a profound impact on the lives of those who rely on Agincare’s services.

There were also two winners from Agincare’s head office in Castletown on Portland, John Tourgout who won Customer Service of the Year for his role as PR and Communications Manager and Alin Petrescu, the Projects Area Manager, who won the Apprentice of the Year award.
