A TikTok trainspotting sensation re-visited Dorset this week.

Francis Bourgeois, who has more than three million followers on video sharing platform TikTok, uploaded a video of his travels on the Wareham to Swanage service.

He took the trip on a class 117 train from 1960, declaring that ‘the best thing about the 117 is that you can see the drivers.’

He is known for recording himself through a camera mounted in front of his face which captures his excited reactions when a train passes and his hobby has seen him collaborate with well-known celebrities like Joe Jonas, and he even became the face of a Gucci and The North Face collaboration.

Sharing the news of the star's visit to Facebook, Swanage Railway posted: “Whilst attending our recent Diesel Gala, Francis Bourgeois said he’d be back soon to check out our mainline service to Wareham. And so, here’s the video from his day out earlier this week on our Wareham to Swanage service!

“Our Wareham service is operating four days a week until early September, and for more information please visit our website here https://www.swanagerailway.co.uk/wareham-services.”

In a sweet exchange with the driver, Francis could not stop smiling as the driver let him shut the door to the train and he was left ‘moved by the kind and happy energy’ of the driver.

Later in the video, the self-proclaimed ‘railway enthusiast’ and his girlfriend went to grab a bite to eat in a local tearoom and he narrated in the video ‘this looks perfect.’

The venue they visited was Brook Tea Rooms.

Manager Kizzy said: “I actually served him and had no idea who he was.

“They were really polite, and they both seemed really lovely.

Kizzy explained that her colleagues showed her the video when it was posted which was ‘quite funny to watch.’

The star also purchased a train from the Swanage Railway’s ‘awesome shop’ on his travels.

He visited Corfe Castle Railway Station in May this year where he posed for pictures with fellow railway enthusiasts and volunteers whilst he was there to visit the Swanage Railway Diesel Gala.

The video was also posted to Instagram, which can be seen below.
