A man has been sentenced after a disturbance at a railway station.

Joe Woodhall, aged 27, of Barrow Rise, Weymouth, previously admitted a charge of affray.

Woodhall 'used or threatened unlawful violence' towards other people at Weymouth Railway Station in King Street on July 24, 2020.

His conduct was described as causing others present to 'fear for their personal safety'.

Woodhall was sentenced at Weymouth Magistrates Court on Thursday, August 3.

He was fined £346, told to pay a £95 victim surcharge and £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Additionally, he was fined a further £100 for committing an offence during a suspended sentence order.

He was issued with a community order to undergo rehabilitation activity with a responsible officer.
