Police were called to deal with a stray cow on a bust dual carriageway.
Officers were called to after the cow ‘mistakenly’ escaped its field along the A35 close to Bakers Arms Roundabout, Poole on Sunday evening at around 6pm.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: “We received a report at 6.11pm on Sunday 17 September 2023 of a cow in the road near to the Bakers Arms Roundabout on the A35 near Poole.
“Officers attended and it was reported at around 7pm that the cow had returned to its field.”
Earlier this summer, two cows died on Bakers Arms Roundabout after a livestock lorry carrying nearly 60 animals toppled over.
Environmental activist group PETA later wrote to Dorset Council asking for a plaque to be installed in their memory but this has yet to happen.
