A woman was left in need of medical assistance on a busy Weymouth road.
Dorset Police officers attended the incident on Dorchester Road at 3.15pm today (Friday, October 20), alongside a team from South Western Ambulance Service.
The woman was taken to Dorset County Hospital by ambulance for further treatment.
A spokesperson from Dorset Police said: “We received a report at 3.15pm of a woman in need of medical assistance in Dorchester Road in Weymouth.
“Officers attended to assist the ambulance service as the woman was treated.
“Police left the scene at around 3.45pm.”
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 2:37pm on Friday, October 20 to an incident on Dorchester Road, Weymouth.
"We sent two double-crewed land ambulances and conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Dorset County Hospital.”
