BEAR Grylls-style hen dos are on offer in Dorset for any brides-to-be to experience a unique party experience.

As more women fall in love with the great outdoors, the traditional ‘wild' hen do is moving away from silly garments and strippers.

Instead, women are answering the call of the wild and more are taking their hen dos outside.

Following this trend, Dorset-based outdoor adventure company, Land & Wave has just announced the launch of its first 24-hour Bear Grylls-style Ultimate Hen Package.

Sophie Tanner, head of operations and an outdoor instructor at Land & Wave, said: "The tide is definitely changing, we’re getting so many more women coming to us wanting that outdoor experience for their hen dos.

"It started with requests for mixed stag and hen dos, and then women wanting to come and do the 24-hour stag do as a hen do.

"The demand is there, women want to do something different for their hen dos nowadays, they want more choice. We’ve listened and now we’ve delivered."

The new 24-hour Ultimate Hen Package offers women an overnight woodland campout and the opportunity to learn survival and bushcraft skills from shelter building and fire lighting to axe throwing and archery.

Hiking, wild swimming, and of course, cake, are also on the menu.

The experience costs £175 including an overnight stay, fire lighting, axe throwing or archery, shelter building, hiking, wild swimming and woodland campout.

Wild trout will be prepared as an evening meal, with vegetarian options available.

The events start at 2pm until 12.30pm the next day.

Land and Wave also offer stag dos with the same experience for any grooms-to-be who wish to channel their inner Bear Grylls.
