A YOUNG harpist will accompany a vocal consort at a free Christmas lunchtime concert.
It will take place at St Peter's Church, Dorchester, on Saturday, December 16 between 12.30pm and 1pm.
Benjamin Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols will be performed by a vocal consort, accompanied by the outstanding young harpist, Marni Lai.
Marni, currently studying at Cambridge University, is the latest in an ongoing series of young artists to be invited to perform at St Peter’s, as the musical foundation seeks to support the talented next generation of musicians as they bridge the gap between university studies and professional life.
A spokesman said: "This promises to be a wonderful, festive occasion, and offers the perfect way to take a break from the busyness and stress of Christmas shopping!
"The concert is a free event and all are very welcome."
