A dog walker was reportedly assaulted by teenagers riding scooters in Chickerell.

A woman in her 50s was walking her dog on a path near Victory Hall in Putton Lane, Chickerell, when a group of male teenagers approached riding scooters.

The group did not slow down and the victim was knocked by the scooters.

She did not sustain any injuries.

Officers investigating an assault on a dog walker are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Police Constable Scott Williams, of Weymouth police, said: “I have now been able to obtain details of this incident from the victim and enquiries are continuing to identify those involved.

“I would ask anyone who was in the area and saw what happened, or has information about the group of boys, to please contact Dorset Police.”

The alleged assault happened between 8.10am and 8.20am on Wednesday, November 29, but police have just released the information.
