A property in Dorset has been named as one of the top five most popular holiday cottages by a national letting agency.

Hill View Cottage on the Isle of Purbeck was classed as one of the most-booked cottages in the UK by holidaycottages.co.uk, based on bookings made over the last year.

Properties and locations weren't ranked but instead selected as their top five holiday cottages from the website's blog post. 

The 18th century property was chosen due to its “cute cottage interiors, south-facing enclosed garden, and idyllic countryside surroundings.”

It is located closed to the Purbeck Hills with access to walking and cycling routes.

One review stated: “Amazing experience all round. Owners are really friendly and accommodating, the cottage is excellently located, has amazing views and is really cosy. It has everything you could possibly need and was a perfect base for exploring the local and wider area.

“The walled garden is ideal for the dogs, having a secure area to be able to let them out first thing in the morning is a real bonus. Fantastic.”
