The first residential phase of the Brewers Quay regeneration in Weymouth are finally beginning.

Six new townhouses, 12 apartments and three converted bungalows are set to be built in Hope Square at the former Brewers Quay site.

The apartments will each have their own private balcony or terrace opening out from the living space, while the houses have a private garden as well as an upper floor Juliette balcony.

Alice Church of Savills residential development sales team in Dorset said: “The launch of Brewery Reach represents the first residential phase of this landmark development.

“With a number of off-plan reservations already made, we anticipate continued demand from a range of buyers attracted by the high specification and the vibrant, quayside location in central Weymouth.”

The converted bungalows are within the grounds of the Grade II listed brewery building, which is itself undergoing redevelopment into luxury apartments, a museum and three retail units.

Prices for the properties start from £290,000 for the apartments, £485,000 for the townhouses, which are set to be complete later this year, and £420,000 for the bungalows due to be complete this spring.

Savills have supplied some CGI’s of what they intend the development with a sage coloured cladding accenting the beige brickwork and black doors and window frames.

The suggested interior of the properties has a nice modern theme running throughout with plenty of light and neutral tones.

The homes all appear to be spacious stylish, featuring a high specification, with well-appointed kitchens and bathrooms, and a study for each of the townhouses.

All of the homes come with their own parking space.

The homes will be just a short walk from Weymouth Harbour, in the heart of the town, although out of the way of the hustle and bustle.

The outside area of the apartments sits within a stone wall with plenty of plants and shrubbery about.

Brewers Quay was a converted Victorian brewery on the south side of Hope Square and has been left derelict and decayed over the years, so this development although sad to see an iconic landmark go may breathe a breath of fresh air onto the site.
