Police officers have been conducting speed checks at a Dorset college.
Police officers from Dorchester Neighbourhood Policing Team paid a special visit to the Kingston Maurward College campus near Dorchester this morning (Thursday, January 25), to undertake speed checks.
Officers visited the campus as there ‘is lots of foot traffic, animals, farm vehicles and members of the public that use the college campus.’
A spokesperson for Dorchester Neighbourhood policing team said: “This morning myself a PCSO from Dorchester Neighbourhood Policing Team was conducting speed checks on Kingston Maurward College campus.
“These speed checks are done at times to remind anyone driving of the speed limit on site.
“There is lots of foot traffic, animals, farm vehicles and members of the public that use the college campus.
“To ensure everyone's safety we work in partnership and conduct speed checks.”
