FOUR fire crews tackled a fire in a barn in Hazelbury Bryan.

A small number of hay bales inside the barn caught fire on Saturday, January 27.

Firefighters from Sherborne, Blandford, Yeovil and Sturminster Newton rushed to the scene after getting a call at just after 9.40pm.

The bales were separated and extinguished using hay drags and a hose reel jet.

It was the second barn fire in two days tackled by Dorset firefighters.

On Friday night, four fire crews tackled a huge barn blaze in Hooke.

The fire, which caused considerable damage to a barn including a workshop and three vehicles, was started by an unattended candle.
