A member of the British pop-group Steps is performing in the Weymouth Pavilion Easter Pantomime.

This year’s pantomime is Beauty and the Beast and is set to star Lee Latchford-Evans as the Prince and the Beast.

Lee is best known for being one fifth of the pop phenomenon Steps, travelling the world with the band.

Steps have hit the top of the single and album charts in the UK, Japan, Australia, Europe, SE Asia as well as previously touring extensively with Britney Spears all over America.

At a very early age, Lee would audition for school productions and was cast in nativity plays and musicals as well as playing for the school football team.

When he was 15, he decided to put his name down for the school production of Grease not thinking anything would really come of it - Lee landed the lead role and after becoming a big hit with his friends and teachers the love for performing truly came to life.

Britain's Got Talent finalist Steve Royle will also star in the panto as Silly Billy.

Steve was the runner up in the 2020 series with his comedy and juggling act and now works as a comedian, radio presenter, actor and writer, starring in a number of pantomimes previously.

The easter pantomime is running from Saturday, April 13 and tickets can be purchased here: https://weymouthpavilion.com/shows/easter-pantomime-beauty-and-the-beast/.
