A flood alert has been issued for Weymouth as heavy rain is expected.
The Environment Agency says river levels are high but steady on the River Wey, Preston Brook, and River Jordan, however, the outlook is for unsettled weather over the next few days and further heavy rainfall is expected this afternoon.
Further flooding to fields and roads is expected, and there may be standing water seen for several days.
A spokesperson for the Environment Agency said: "We will continue to monitor the forecast and re-issue this alert if necessary.
"Please avoid using low-lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. Plan driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded."
River levels also remain high on the Lower Dorset Frome. These levels will remain high at the Stinsford and East Stoke flume gauges.
A flood alert is also in place for rivers and streams in west Dorset at the River Lim, River Char, River Winniford, Simene River, River Brit, River Asker, River Mangerton and River Bride.
