A successful pub night at a village hall raised £100 for an end of life charity.
Osmington Village Hall hosted a St David's Day pub night to raise funds for Marie Curie as part of the charity's Great Daffodil Appeal.
The appeal encourages everyone to wear the iconic daffodil pins and donate to the cause throughout March to help Marie Curie deliver end of life care and support.
Funds will help Marie Curie nurses and healthcare professionals provide expert support and hospice care in the comfort of their home.
The event was organised by the Phoenix Fundraisers, who work to support local causes.
Eileen Bramley, Chairperson of Phoenix Fundraisers of Osmington, presented the £100 raised from the pub night to Richard Crosby of Dorchester and Weymouth Fundraising Group for Marie Curie.
The money will be part of the group’s contribution towards the appeal which will help fund approximately 40 nurses in Dorset.
Richard thanked Eileen for the donation and expressed the hope that other similar groups would follow the lead of Phoenix Fundraisers.
