A man suffered a fractured jaw after a 'nasty assault' in Weymouth.

The victim, a man in his 40s, was 'punched and kicked' by two men, according to Dorset Police, after being assaulted in Maiden Street, near to the junction with St Alban Street.

Detectives have now issued CCTV images of two people they would like to identify as they continue to investigate the assault in Weymouth town centre.

The incident took place at around 3.55am on Saturday, December, 2 2023 - but police have only just released details of the incident. 

Detective Constable Stuart Goatley, of Dorset County CID, said: “This was a nasty assault and we are continuing to explore all available lines of enquiry to identify those involved.

“I am now in a position to issue CCTV images of two individuals we would like to identify and would urge anyone with information regarding their identify to please contact us.”
