Firefighters tackled a chemical incident at an industrial estate on Portland.
A crew from Portland Fire Station were called to Coode Way at 3.22pm on Wednesday to assist police with an incident involving a hazardous substance.
Fire crews remained on scene for nearly two hours to ensure the area was safe.
A spokesperson from Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "A crew from Portland were called to Coode Way, Portland, at 3.22pm yesterday afternoon to assist our police colleagues with an incident involving a hazardous substance.
"Our stop was in at 5.07pm."
