ORGANISERS of Dorchester’s One World Festival, which usually takes place during the summer in the Borough Gardens, are looking for event sponsors.

The multi-cultural gathering, featuring music, performances, food and drink, is a popular event in the town and has been booked in for August 10th this year.

Organised by the South West Dorset Multi-Cultural Network the potential line-up includes drumming workshops, African music, Ukrainian performers, Indian drumming and performers, Polish music, arts demonstrations and a range of activities for children.

Costing around £4,000 to stage the organisers have applied to Dorset Council for grant aid having already been promised £500 by Dorchester Town Council and £400 by the Rotary Club of Dorchester.
