Weymouth's Jubilee Clock will be lighting up this weekend to raise awareness for the Samaritans.

Samaritans are the official charity for this year's London Marathon and Weymouth Samaritans are making sure they get involved.

From Friday April 19 to Monday, April 22 Weymouth Town Council will be lighting the Jubilee Clock green to raise awareness about their work.

Victoria Thompson from Samaritans said: "We have been supporting listeners in Weymouth for over 50 years.

"We also need support with fundraising and outreach.

"We look forward to hearing from you - we help more people believe in tomorrow."

"And a shout out to the organisers of Chesil Rocks Festival at Langton Herring as they support us each year. It’s a fantastic event and all the proceeds go to our branch."
