FIREFIGHTERS swapped their hoses for sponges and buckets to raise money for their charity.
Staff at Dorchester fire station took part in a car cleaning day to raise funds for the National Firefighters' Charity - formerly the Fire Service Benevolent Fund.
Drivers passing the station were invited to make a donation after having their car cleaned and the 15 fundraisers collected £760 by the end of the day. The charity supports firefighters with injuries through its therapy and rehabilitation centres and also helps families after the death of a member of staff.
