THE second in a series of alternative films will be shown tomorrow night.

Film Dock is a new group launched in Weymouth and Portland for film fans with a difference.

Funded by Weymouth College and supported by Portland-based Revolting Graphic Design, it aims to provide a platform to exhibit independent, arthouse, foreign language and other off-beat genres of film.

The group's first screening earlier this month was a success and tonight Film Dock presents Dziga Vertov's Man With A Movie Camera, a 1929 silent picture featuring a specially-commissioned Michael Nyman score.

It will be shown at Weymouth College Theatre at 7.30pm. Tickets are £5 with £3.50 concessions.

More movies will be shown at the college, and at Royal Manor Theatre on Portland, over the next few months.
