JUST HOW GREEN HAVE YOU BEEN
By David Webb, chairman of the West Dorset Partnership
"I TRY reasonably hard.
"We have solar panels on the house to heat the water and there's a supply of wood out the back for the fire.
"We recycle and have low-energy light bulbs but we can't have cavity wall insulation because it's a cob-walled house.
"I have a fairly light right foot when driving, keeping the revs down. I have a diesel car and can get more than 50 miles to the gallon. I live 10 miles from Dorchester, the nearest town, so I do have to use the car quite a bit.
"The partnership organised the Big Green Day earlier this year and is currently drawing up a climate change strategy. People were very positive on the day and came up with lots of ideas."
