Kingston Maurward outdoor academy is encouraging people to be active.

Today at the skills festival in Poole I interviewed Natalie Williams an Outdoor Academy instructor from Kingston Maurward College. They mainly study outdoor education in and around Dorset. They also go as far as Europe. She started as an instructor this year in September. She has finished her studying and is now a instructor. They are here today at the Skills Festival to promote outdoor education at Kingston Maurward. She feels it’s important to be here to give young people alternatives. She wanted to be an Outdoor Academy instructor to be outdoors. They like best in there job is to meet new people and doesn’t like doing to much paper work in an office. She qualified with a diploma in outdoor education and sports qualifications. To qualify for a diploma in outdoor education to stay at college and don’t drop out, it’s easy to study at college not anywhere else, it took her five years to qualify. But in college it would take two years.

I enjoyed the explaining of the stall, them showing me how to use a kayak and seeing if I could get past 70 to be good enough for the Olympics I managed 83. I enjoyed the aspect of interviewing and journalism and her explain of Kingston Maurward was extremely interesting.
