TRAINEE Air Engineering Technician Andrew Cross has completed his basic training at HMS Raleigh in Cornwall.
Former Royal Manor pupil Andrew, 20, joined the Royal Navy in September and has completed nine weeks of intensive training.
He said: “I joined the Royal Navy for a secure job. Training was tough, but overall a great experience.”
Now Andrew is off to HMS Sultan in Hampshire where he will undergo specialist training to learn how to make the necessary checks and repairs to ensure that the Royal Navy’s aircraft remain at the peak of readiness.
