I refer to Hayley Dent's letter ‘Most teens are no threat at all’ (You Say, March 12).
As president of Weymouth Drama Club, I would like to endorse her sentiments.
I must say how proud I was of the four young people who took part in the Dorset Drama Festival in Shaftesbury.
During rehearsals and peformance they were a pleasure to work with.
It was a difficult time for them with the untimely death of a schoolfriend and drama club member and the fact that they were sitting exams as well.
They asked if a collection could be made at the festival for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance in memory of their friend which was a kind and generous thought.
They collected £151 to be added to an amount which had already been collected at school by the pupils.
These young people are a credit to Weymouth and I know there are many more out there - it's just a shame that the vandals and the ill behaved get the publicity instead of those that deserve it.
Well done Alex, Grace, James and Rebecca.
Dennis Dunford, President, Weymouth Drama Club, Markham Avenue, Weymouth.
