SOLDIERS Martin Hall and Adam Robinson will lead a convoy of scooters and motorbikes over 600 miles to raise funds for military charities.

The duo – in the Military Provost Guard Service based at Lulworth – are riding from Bovington to Brighton, picking up bikers at eight checkpoints along the south of England.

Lance Corporal Martin Hall, 41, and Corporal Adam Robinson, 43, will set off on Saturday, May 23 with 25 other riders from their camp, and hope to be joined by hundreds more along the way, both soldiers and civilians.

The rideout is in aid of Help for Heroes, a charity for the wounded in Britain’s current conflicts, and the National Gulf War Veterans and Families Association.

Martin said: “We have aimed to raise £1,000, but I think we will smash that.

“I made a guesstimate that 500 people would participate but we have already got 600 people.”

This is the first event of its kind that Armed Forces Scooter Club members Martin and Adam have organised, raising money for charities close to their hearts.

They will set off from Bovington Tank Museum at 7am and stop in Blandford, Salisbury, Andover, Basing-stoke, Frimley, Dorking at the A24 Little Chef, meeting at the village of Rock and riding to Brighton seafront together.
