  • HOSPICE Care in Kenya: Liz Salmon, Chair of Hospice Care Kenya will speak in St. Mary’s Church at the 11am service on Sunday, April 19.

Villagers Michael and Barbara Fulford-Dobson recently visited the Coast Hospice in Mombasa and could see the workings of it first hand.

Approximately 25 patients come to the hospice for treatment and many more receive home visits.

Michael and Barbara decided to take up the plight of Salim, a 38-year old man suffering from cancer but unable to afford adequate treatment.

Initial treatment proved successful but a further £150 need to be raised and they hope to do this within the village of Cerne Abbas.

Many more people like Salim need help and as one of St. Mary’s Partners in Mission, the church will be able to donate funds this year.

If you are interested in helping out, contact Peter Smith, PCC Treasurer in Abbey Gardens, Abbey Street, Cerne Abbas, DT2 7JQ or alternatively – attend the service at St. Mary’s!
