VOLUNTEERS will be honoured for their hard work in the community at a ceremony in Purbeck.
The Purbeck Towns and Parishes Volunteers of the Year Awards Ceremony is taking place from 7.30pm to 9.30pm on Wednesday at the council offices in Wareham.
Chairman of Purbeck District Council Gloria Marsh, district councillors and mayors and chairmen of towns and parishes will be attending the event.
Counc Marsh will host the ceremony where volunteers from parishes and towns in Purbeck will be awarded a certificate in recognition of their voluntary work in the heart of many communities, working to make a difference to the lives of others. 11 towns and parishes have nominated volunteers for awards for a variety of achievements.
