THE Adored will be launching their new EP, Celebrating The Adored, on self-created label In Action Records, in a special gig tomorrow night at Mr Smiths. The five-piece, formed in 2001, will be showcasing the three new tracks amongst old favorites, Changing Times and This so-called life.

The new songs are ballad, Kinder Love, Shot Down My Angel, which has been described as a song about when relationships go wrong and the up-tempo, Rush. When asked about the song titles and the meaning behind them, Drummer Stuart Marshall said: "What can I say, we're a bunch of romantics! One of the band came up with this great quote that we play good old fashioned rock 'n' roll from the heart, and that sums us up."

The Adored, who were named because of the inspiration of a Rolling Stones lyric, are highly influenced by classic '70s rock, and the modern day stylings of the Kings of Leon and Jet. The guys are hoping to release a full-length debut at some point next year.

The launch party sold out weeks ago, but you can catch the band at their next gig at The Central on Saturday, November 27. If you haven't been lucky enough to get a ticket, you can console yourself by getting your hands on the new EP. The first five people to email echo@theadored.com will bag themselves a copy of the CD.

THE video for getAmped's forthcoming single Too Far has been wrapped so keep your eyes peeled for it on an alternative music channel near you soon.

RUBBER Soul will be settling into new home for the remainder of 2004 at Destiny (ex Millenium club) and will be looking forward to their first date at the new venue on Thursday November 25 with The Hat, Feverkicks and Dutch Husband.
