SKIPPER Alex Browne and mid-fielder Mark Jermyn will miss Dorchester's Nationwide Conference South game at home to Bishop's Stortford tomorrow (3pm) through suspension.

Both players have been given one-match bans after accumulating five yellow cards this season.

Manager Mark Morris admits losing the pair is a big blow although he'll be telling the rest of his squad to 'just get on with it."

"We're on a super little run at the moment," he explained, "having picked up points at Hornchurch and Basingstoke. The last thing you need when things are going well is to lose two of your best performers. Especially when one of them is your captain.

"But that's life and we just have to get on with it. Alex and Mark are both missing so it's down to the others to do the job. Being without them won't be an excuse for a bad performance and the players are well aware of that."

Morris remains undecided as to who will fill Jermyn's boost in the middle of the park but he's definitely made up his mind as to Browne's replacement.

That will be experienced campaigner Andy Harris who came through Tuesday's Sammy McGowan Cup win over Wimborne suffering no ill-effects from the foot injury that had kept him sidelined since September.

The boss added: "We've missed Andy's experience and presence at the back and it will be good to have him available again. He did enough on Tuesday to prove he's ready for a return and so he'll come in to back line for Alex.

"I had been hoping that keeper Craig Brad-shaw would be okay as well after cracking a bone in his ankle but he's not really done enough work in recent weeks to run the risk of playing him. He trained last night and did okay and so I might put him on the bench."

Tomorrow's clash with the side lying three places below the Magpies in 14th spot, sees Morris come face to face with a player he used to mark in his old Division One days with Sheffield United and Wimbledon - Bishop's Stortford are managed by former Arsenal striker Martin Hayes.

"I've had a few good battles with Martin over the years," added Morris, "and it looks like he's got a good team together at Bishop's Stortford. He'll have them up for this one I'm sure and they'll be coming here looking to sneak a result.

"To be honest I'm not that concerned with them and the way they play. It's down to us being the home side and if we reach the heights we'll be fine."

n Browne is also expecting a two or three game ban to follow his red card dismissal at Basingstoke on Saturday for foul and abusive language towards a linesman.

If confirmed, that would normally begin a fortnight after the offence, causing him to also miss the Magpies FA Trophy second round tie away to Eastbourne Borough on November 27.
