YOUNG Megan Hillman, who has a condition in her joints, will be able to continue playing the instrument she loves thanks to two kind donors.
Help has arrived for the 14-year-old after The Daily Echo reported she was likely to have to give up playing the glockenspiel for the Poole Sea Cadets' marching band.
Megan has hypermobile joints which means they can come out when they are being used. The strap for the current glockenspiel owned by the sea cadets band pulled on one shoulder and was making her condition worse. Now the Bournemouth Carnival Band has come forward and is getting a £750 special instrument made up in Holland.
A Blandford marching band, which is closing down, has also donated a glockenspiel.
Megan said: "I was so chuffed when I knew I could keep playing with the band."
