ORREC is the son and heir of Brantor of Caspromant and Gry is the daughter of the Brantors of Barre and Rodd.
They have grown up together and both have inherited special gift passed on by their parents.
Gry, who has the gift of calling animals to the hunt, does not wish to use it.
Neither does Orrec who has the gift of undoing.
The people of the domains, all with their powers, often war with each to capture serfs and raid cattle to add to their own holdings.
And during this time Orrec's parents visited Ogge to discuss marriage between one of his daughters and Orrec.
This is unsuccessful and Ogge uses his gift of wasting on Orrec's mother. Revenge is sought.
