A HOST of golden daffodils will light up Poundbury in the spring.
Green fingered residents were out in force to dig holes and plant more than 2,700 daffodil bulbs in and around the prestigious development.
One of the volunteers, Sheila Cook, said bulbs would be planted around the estate to help brighten it up in the spring.
"We will be digging more than 400 holes to plant the bulbs. Scats of Dorchester have been very kind in sponsoring the effort, which we hope people will enjoy in the spring."
