THE first business units are being allocated at the new Enterprise Pavilion currently under construction at the Arts Institute at Bournemouth's Talbot Campus.
The Enterprise Pavilion has been designed specifically to help young graduates in the creative industry move into the business world.
It will provide a range of furnished offices together with exhibition, meeting and training areas plus business mentoring and guidance.
Businesses moving into the new facility include:
Moov2 - a web design, systems development, applications development and e-learning firm launched by Brett Williams and Dan Thomas. At present they are based in a flat in Southbourne.
ProDUCKtdesign - launched by Kristina Jensen of Charminster. She is using her creative skills to help develop or reinforce branding through new concepts for promotional work.
Refreshed Media - an online marketing agency run by Simon Melaniphy of Winton and co-director Sarah Baker.
Ultrasound - being launched by arts and event production graduates Miles Nation and Jemima Astill.
The £3.3 million Enterprise Pavilion is a joint initiative between the Arts Institute at Bournemouth and the South West Regional Development Agency.
Work should be completed by October with the first businesses moving in by November.
Arts Institute head of business development Peter Scott said: "From now on, we will be seeking new applicants from right across the South West.
"Applicants won't necessarily have to be this year's graduates, but they must be serious about wanting to start a business."
