YOUNGSTERS showed their sporting prowess on the football pitch in an annual tournament.
Dorchester's Prince of Wales School held the competition as part of its school association fun day - now in its 10th year - to raise funds for new books.
Some 15 teams from eight local schools took part in the contest and a group from the host school scooped the winning trophy.
Meanwhile, visitors browsed stalls and enjoyed a barbecue, raffles and tombola.
Headteacher Peter Farrington, who refereed the football tournament, said: "Everyone had a good time and we hope the day raised around £1,000."
