GIANT Norwegian striker Harold Todman grabbed a hat-trick to help Poole Town put their Dorset Senior Cup final defeat behind them with a 4-2 win over nine-man Liss Athletic.

Despite a sloppy start, the Scandinavian found his shooting boots to steer a depleted Dolphins, for who joint boss Paul Morrell was forced to make a fleeting substitute.

"It's always nice to finish on a high and with all the injuries we have, the lads really came up trumps today," said Morrell.

"We've only been beaten once in the league since October and all in all, it's been a good season."

After slipping behind early on, the ever-reliable Karim Banssaouda headed Dolphins level before the break.

Todman then took over for the second period, first tapping in Banssaouda's cross, then heading in at the back post to make it 3-1 and then sealing the points with a late third. Liss managed to net a consolation goal.

Ringwood Town's Carl Fleet grabbed a brace to ease his side to victory at Aldermaston and assure Bob Lane's men of a top-10 finish in the Hampshire League.

Fleet found himself in acres of space and latched onto a through ball to slot Ringwood ahead but both sides struggled to play any cohesive football in the hot conditions.

But once Mark Cooper flick-on was dispatched by Fleet in the second half, there was only ever likely to be one winner despite a late Aldermaston consolation.
