Unbeaten run goes on
BRIDPORT under 16s continued their unbeaten run in the Weymouth Indoor League with an impressive performance against Puddletown.
Put in to bat, a changed Bridport line up notched up 126 runs in their 12 overs with Joe Hawkins (35) and James Ridd (33) batting strongly and confidently.
Both were supported by new players Andrew Brown (11), Dwayne Gay (11) and Seb Norman (9).
Sensible bowling and fielding from the whole team restricted Puddletown to 81 all out.
Ridd took four wickets for 11 runs off three overs, while Brown finished with 1-18.
Bridport made some excellent stops in the field, with Norman taking on the responsibility of wicketkeeper.
Bridport u16s: Joe Hawkins, James Ridd, Luke Hayter, Andrew Brown, Dwayne Gay, Seb Norman.
