ace biker Cary Ford (Martin Henderson) has been framed for a drugs deal and is pursued by tenacious FBI agent Adam Scott and ruthless gang leader Matt Schulze. His biker chick is Monet Mazur and his loyal buddies Jay Hernandez and Will Yun Lee in this noisy action-thriller with a preposterous screenplay, risible dialogue and wonderfully wooden performances.

UPTOWN GIRLS (12A)

party girl Brittany Murphy is used to living it up on the legacy of her late rock star father, but finds herself broke and has to find work (shock, horror). She gets a job as a nanny for Heather Locklear, looking after her daughter Dakota Fanning, and they amble off towards a happy ending in this fantasy.

ALONG CAME POLLY (12A)

Ben Stiller is a staid risk assessor and Jennifer Aniston the ditzy former school chum who truns his world around and upside down in this formulaic rom com by numbers.

THE MISSING (15)

Oscar-winning director Ron Howard steps back in time to 19th century Mexico for this adaptation of Thomas Eidson's kidnap novel The Last Ride with robust performances from Cate Blanchett, Aaron Eckhart and Tommy Lee Jones. The film is overlong at 137 minutes.

HAUNTED MANSION (PG)

Eddie Murphy mugs his way through this less than spirited tale of a mansion with ghostly inhabitants. Veteran Brit actor Terence Stamp materialises as a butler.

CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN (PG)

SOMETHING'S GOTTA GIVE (12A)

Jack Nicholson plays an ageing roue who turns his attention to a woman of his own age for the first time (Diane Keaton), but his doctor (Keanu Reeves) is thinking along similar lines. Irresistible romantic comedy.
