THE Sophie Vallis appeal received another boost when the Weymouth Operatic Society raised £900.
The society collected money from the audience and society members at every showing of its production of Kiss me Kate.
Sophie, from Weymouth, who benefits from the appeal, was born with a growth condition and a cleft in the middle of her head.
She will need large amounts of surgery and assistance throughout her life.
Society president Lynne Mullins said: "It was a heartening and moving experience to see what a caring community we have in Weymouth and the surrounding area."
