YOUNGSTERS in Colehill were rewarded for the painting efforts in a presentation at their local library.
Winners from three different age groups received prizes from Colehill parish chairman Janet Dover after their entries in the competition held last Christmas were judged to be the best.
Cllr Dover said: "The competition was organised by the Friends of Colehill Library through the library as a way of trying to encourage children to go in and use the facilities.
"We previously did a competition with parrots and had lots of jungly pictures but as it was Christmas we gave them a printed Christmas tree and they had to decorate it.
"I presented the winners with their prizes which all had a craft theme."
The winners were eight-year-old Emma Ross, Matthew Child aged six and Michael Dean, eight.
