POOLE Town saw their four-month unbeaten league record perish at runaway Hampshire League leaders Vosper Thornycroft in a 4-1 battering.
The Dolphins, who were rocked by the news of key defender James Guelting's defection to Dorchester on Friday, were two goals down inside the first 10 minutes.
They didn't fare any better after the break when the powerful hosts stormed to a four-goal lead before prolific striker Karim Banssaouda got back on the goal trail with a consolation penalty.
Joint manager, Paul Morrell, said: "We looked lethargic and didn't compete at any time during the game. We were poor and six or seven players were well below par."
Dolphins: Spillane, Gater, Woodward, Wood, Mooney, Woolfenden, Reeks (Maloney, 65), Banssaouda, Cornick, White, P Manning (Muir, 25). Unused sub: Morrell.
Meanwhile, fellow Premier Division side Ringwood Town shared a goalless draw at Stockbridge to stay in lower mid-table.
Struggling Verwood crashed to a 4-1 home defeat to Micheldever which sees them remain second bottom of the First Division.
