FAREWELLS have been said to a learning support assistant at Sandford First School, near Wareham, who has retired after 28 years.
Mother-of-three, Margaret Galloway, now wants to spend more time with her six grandchildren.
But she will continue to spend two days a week at the school. She said: "It has been great and I shall miss it - I've had lots of cards from friends and past teachers."
During her time there she helped new pupils settle in at the school and recognises many former pupils who are now parents.
