TEACHERS, caretakers and catering staff are in the money at Portesham Primary School after receiving a reward for continued improvement.
The school has earned a School Achievement Award for the second time since working its way out of special measures three years ago.
The award also comes with a cash bonus of around £5,700 which will be divided up between everyone who worked at the school between 1999 and 2002.
Headteacher Phil Minns said: "Our first award last year was for getting out of special measures and this year is for continued improvement.
"We're really proud of ourselves to have got this latest award, it's a great achievement for the school.
"The award is a reflection of the Year 6 SATS results of 2002 and is aimed at congratulating all the staff for their hard work.
"We did very well in our SATS last year, coming 16th in the county, which is a particular achievement considering we were in special measures three years ago. We're all really pleased."
Portesham is among nearly 7,000 schools announced by school standards minister David Miliband to receive a cash bonus for helping pupils achieve high or improved test results.
