WAREHAM RANGERS 3 BRIDPORT RES 6 BRIDPORT Reserves got back to winning ways in style in a pulsating game at Wareham Rangers.

The Bees were given a fantastic start after just 35 seconds when Adam Gale tucked the ball away without a Rangers player having touched the ball.

But the home side hit back from two set-pieces to lead at half-time.

Bridport attacked powerfully in the second period with Gale and Simon Austin finding plenty of space out wide.

Austin equalised before Wareham went in front again, only for Gale to make it 3-3 on 58 minutes.

It was all Bridport after that, hitting the bar twice and missing a bag full of chances.

Mark Lock, youngster Steve Penn and Andy Hitchcock added further goals as the Bees over-ran their opponents.

Player boss Kevin Donovan said: "It would not be an exaggeration to say we could have had 15, and they should probably have had six."

Bees: Ryland, Cadman, Smith, Lock, Menaldinho (Armstrong 45mins), Leighton (Penn 65mins), Conning (Cuff 75mins), Thomas, A Gale, Hitchcock, Austin.
